AI Senior Data Engineer (NCS/Job/ 3175)

Core Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high quality data engineering code using Python and SQL.
• Design and implement scalable data storage, retrieval, and processing solutions.
• Lead the architecture, modeling, development, and maintenance of data pipelines, data marts, and analytical data structures.
• Mentor and guide less experienced engineers, ensuring adherence to engineering standards.
• Build data flows that utilize both on premises and cloud architectures.
• Collaborate with business analytics teams and IS architecture teams to resolve data-related issues and support ongoing data infrastructure needs.

Qualifications

• Deep SQL expertise, including Microsoft SQL Server and related platforms.
• 2+ years working with vector databases.
• 4–5 years Python development experience, with strong knowledge of Python ecosystems (NumPy, Pandas, PyArrow, etc.).
• Exposure to Azure Functions, LLM application frameworks (OpenAI, LangChain, LlamaIndex), and AI tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Strong proficiency with GIT for version control.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
• Self-starter who can quickly ramp up, demonstrates curiosity, and works with a positive, collaborative approach.
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively across cross functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
