Job Description:
We are hiring a high-performing Sales Manager to lead a team of passionate Inside Sales Executives and Team Leaders. The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader, experienced in managing D2C consultative sales teams in fast-paced, target-driven environments. You will be responsible for revenue generation, team performance, pipeline management, and customer satisfaction—primarily in the higher education/EdTech space.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead a team of 10–15 Admissions Counsellors and 1–2 Team Leaders

Drive monthly and quarterly revenue and collection targets
-
Manage the complete sales lifecycle from lead assignment to closure and post-sale
-
Ensure quality in the sales pipeline through regular monitoring and coaching
-
Oversee continuous training by TLs on profiling, objection handling, and closures
-
Control attrition through mentoring and engagement
-
Track performance through defined input/output KPIs

Represent and promote the value of upGrad’s learning programs
Requirements:
-
3+ years of experience in B2C or Inside Sales (EdTech preferred)

Proven track record of leading sales teams of 30+ members
-
Strong command over consultative selling for high-ticket products

Top 10% performer in previous sales roles

Excellent English communication (written & spoken)

Highly data-driven with CRM proficiency and reporting skills

Ability to handle pressure, targets, and customer expectations

Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
