Academic Counselor – EdTech Sales (High-Ticket / High-Target)

 

Are you a results-driven sales professional ready to handle high-ticket closures (₹85k–₹1.4 Lacs) in the EdTech space? Karyarth is seeking an aggressive Academic Counselor to join the admissions team of a Leading Analytics Education Brand in Mumbai. This is a challenging, target-driven role demanding 15 sales closures per month.


Role: Academic Counselor – EdTech Sales (High-Ticket)
Industry Segment: EdTech / Data Analytics Education
Location: Andheri E, MIDC, Mumbai (Work From Office)
Compensation (CTC): ₹6 LPA to ₹10 LPA
Experience: Minimum 1 year in EdTech Sales (MANDATORY)
Target: 15 Sales Closures per Month
Ticket Size: ₹85,000 – ₹1,40,000
Hiring Process: 2 Rounds, Both Mandatory F2F

 

Role Overview & Sales Mandate

 

This role requires a dedicated focus on driving enrollments for high-value analytics programs. You will blend academic counseling with aggressive sales techniques to meet demanding targets.

  • Primary Goal: Achieve 15 sales closures per month for programs with a high ticket size (Min ₹85k).

  • Performance Expectation: Must aim to crack 2–3 sales closures in the first month.

  • Field Activity Mandate: You are required to step out of the office to meet clients and close sales if a closure probability exists in the near term.

  • Lead Management: You will work with fresh leads starting from the second week, after utilizing dead leads in the first week.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Conversion & Sales: Utilize strong negotiation and lead conversion techniques to secure student enrollments for high-value programs.

  • Personalized Counseling: Provide detailed guidance to prospective students on course offerings, curriculum, and the significant career opportunities in the data analytics industry.

  • Admissions Management: Efficiently guide students through the application, documentation, and admissions processes.

  • Presentation: Conduct engaging presentations and face-to-face meetings to clearly explain program features and benefits.

  • Data Integrity: Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and follow-up actions using CRM tools.


 

Mandatory Candidate Profile

 

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in EdTech sales is mandatory (or academic counseling with a sales component).

  • Skills: Excellent English communication, strong customer-facing, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Must possess a competitive and enthusiastic personality.

  • Hiring Filter: Candidates must observe a 2-month cooling period from their last employment before joining.

  • Commitment: Must be prepared for a 6-month probation period.

 

Hiring Process & Logistics

 

  • Interview Schedule: 2 rounds of interviews, both mandatory Face-to-Face (F2F). No virtual screening.

  • Walk-Ins: Daily walk-in interviews are conducted between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM at the Mumbai office.

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday (10:30 AM to 7:30 PM).
