Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Manager - Facility Management to oversee the daily operations, safety, and maintenance of our prosthetic and orthotic facility. This role is critical in ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient environment for clinical staff, technicians, and patients, while maintaining compliance with healthcare and industry-specific standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Operations & Maintenance

  • Manage all aspects of facility maintenance and cleanliness, including equipment upkeep, lighting, plumbing, and general repairs.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Monitor and manage utilities, ensuring energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure the facility complies with local health codes, and industry-specific safety regulations.
  • Oversee routine safety inspections and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain updated documentation for fire safety, emergency procedures, and risk assessments.

Clinic & Lab Support

  • Work closely with clinicians and technicians to support the operational needs of the prosthetic and orthotic labs.
  • Ensure specialized equipment and workspaces (e.g., fabrication labs, fitting rooms) are maintained and functioning optimally.
  • Coordinate facility layout changes and improvements to enhance workflow and patient experience.

Inventory & Procurement

  • Manage facility-related inventory such as janitorial supplies, tools, and PPE.
  • Collaborate with procurement staff to ensure timely ordering of equipment or materials for maintenance and lab use.
  • Support with tracking inventory and store keeping

Administrative & Budgeting

  • Develop and manage the facility operations budget.
  • Maintain records of maintenance schedules, inspections, permits, and vendor agreements.
  • Participate in planning facility upgrades, expansions, or relocations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5–8 years of facility management experience, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
  • Familiarity with prosthetic and orthotic equipment or healthcare facility operations is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with maintenance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies or urgent issues outside of normal working hours when necessary.

Work Environment:

  • The current operations are spread of 4 facilities
  • This role involves regular interaction with clinical and technical staff.
  • Some physical work is required (e.g., walking the facility, lifting equipment, using ladders/tools).
  • May require occasional travel
