EDA License Specialist (Electronic Design Automation) (Hea Job/ 183)

Scope of work:

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as EDA License Specialist and scope involves license installation, worldwide support and maintenance, troubleshooting, vendor management, inventory management, communication with stakeholders including IT and application engineers.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide license support to the R&D community in Infineon (incl. 24x7 support)
2. License generation, installation and maintenance.
3. Ensuring high availability of licenses to designers worldwide
4. Troubleshooting license issues: Work with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
5. Detection of hung license jobs and taking corrective action.
6. Reporting: Develop utilization reports and analysis for optimizing license costs.
7. Analysis: Analysis of license usage on a regular basis
8. Documentation: Maintenance of knowledgebase and documentation.
9. Compliance: Ensuring contractual compliance with all vendors
10. License inventory management

Skills:

1. Good working (hands on) knowledge of Linux OS (Redhat)
2. Experience with IT service management tools, such as BMC Remedy and JIRA
3. Experience in Python programming.
4. Experience with load sharing systems like LSF.
5. Knowledge of Flex-LM platform and other license platforms such as RLM, Sentinal etc.
6. Desired: Experience in the semiconductor domain
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education & Experience:

1. 3+ years of relevant industry experience
2. B.Tech preferably in CSE/Electronics/related fields
