Position- International BD Manager
Location: Mumbai, India
Region Focus: LATAM, Europe, Asia
Division: API Division
Role Objective:
To drive revenue growth and expand market share for RPG Life Sciences' API product portfolio across key international markets (LATAM, Europe, Asia) by identifying new opportunities, managing key accounts, and strengthening relationships with generic players.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Expansion & Sales Strategy:
Drive business growth for high-value synthetic APIs in designated international markets. Develop and implement country-specific strategies to expand market share. - Lead Generation & Customer Acquisition:
Identify new business opportunities and lead generation through market research, attending global pharma exhibitions (e.g., CPhI), and buyer-seller meets. - Account Management & Relationship Building:
Maintain and nurture relationships with existing customers and key generic players in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. - Commercial Negotiations & Contracting:
Lead negotiations, finalize contracts, and drive margin improvement for API sales. - Regulatory & Documentation Coordination:
Work with internal Quality (QA/QC) and Regulatory teams to support customer audits, DMF submissions, and compliance with EU/other regional requirements. - Supply Continuity & Customer Support:
Ensure excellent service levels and timely delivery, maintaining RPG’s reputation as a "preferred partner".
Candidate Profile:
Experience: 7–12+ years of experience in API International Business Development.
Market Knowledge: Proven track record of handling API exports specifically to regulated markets (Europe) and emerging markets (LATAM, Asia).
Technical Understanding:
Strong knowledge of synthetic APIs, DMF filings, and API regulatory documentation.
Education:
B.Sc/M.Sc/B.Pharm/M.Pharm in Chemistry or Pharma Sciences, preferably with an MBA in Marketing/International Business.
Skills:
Strong negotiation skills, analytical skills, and ability to manage cross-functional teams (R&D, Regulatory, Logistics)
