Position: Purchase Engineer – Electrical

Location: Pathalganga, Mumbai

Experience: 2–4 Years

CTC: ₹6.50 LPA (approx.)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Purchase Engineer (Electrical) with 2–4 years of experience in procurement of electrical materials, components, and spares. The role involves vendor management, cost negotiation, and ensuring timely procurement to support production and projects at our Pathalganga unit.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement & Sourcing

   • Handle purchasing of electrical components such as motors, cables, panels, switches, relays, wiring accessories, drives, and control equipment.

   • Identify reliable suppliers and develop alternate sources to ensure supply continuity.

   • Prepare RFQs, evaluate quotations, and finalize vendors.

2. Vendor Management & Negotiation

   • Negotiate with suppliers for best price, quality, and delivery terms.

   • Build and maintain supplier relationships for long-term collaboration.

   • Evaluate vendor performance on cost, delivery, and quality parameters.

3. Order Processing & Coordination

   • Prepare and release purchase orders as per project/production requirements.

   • Track order status, follow up with suppliers, and ensure timely deliveries.

   • Coordinate with stores, quality, and production teams for material inspection and approvals.

4. Cost & Compliance

   • Support cost-saving initiatives through alternate sourcing and negotiations.

   • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, statutory norms, and quality standards.

5. Reporting & Documentation

   • Maintain procurement records, supplier database, and MIS reports.

   • Support audits and provide timely procurement data to management.

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of electrical components procurement

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally)

• Good communication & coordination abilities

• Analytical, detail-oriented, and cost-conscious mindset

Education:

• B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering

• Additional certification in Materials Management / Supply Chain (preferred)
