Production Operations - Alloy Wheel

Role Summary:
Responsible for end-to-end production operations of the Alloy Wheel Manufacturing Unit, ensuring high-quality output, cost efficiency, and timely delivery through strategic planning, process control, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead overall shop floor operations including casting, machining, painting, and finishing of alloy wheels.

Develop and execute strategies to achieve production targets, quality KPIs, OEE, and customer delivery timelines.

Ensure effective manpower planning, shift management, and resource utilization.

Drive continuous improvement, lean practices, and automation initiatives to optimize production.

Coordinate with quality, maintenance, planning, and supply chain teams for seamless operations.

Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, OSHAS, and other regulatory norms.

Analyze downtime, defects, and rejections using tools like Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Pareto, and implement corrective actions.

Lead NPD trials, process audits, and cost-reduction initiatives across the plant.

Guide and mentor a large team of engineers, supervisors, and operators.
Key Requirements:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy or equivalent.

14–20 years of hands-on experience in Alloy Wheel Manufacturing Operations (preferred: exposure to low pressure die casting (LPDC) or gravity die casting (GDC)).

Strong knowledge of production systems, casting & machining processes, quality tools, and plant safety.

Proven track record in shop floor leadership, cross-functional coordination, and team development.
