Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Product Development Head with strong exposure to GDC (Gravity Die Casting), Tool Room operations, New Product Development (NPD), and Industrial Engineering. The candidate will lead the end-to-end product development process, from concept to production, ensuring innovation, quality, manufacturability, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the entire product development function, managing design, prototyping, validation, and production launch.

  • Drive New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer requirements, and business goals.

  • Oversee GDC casting processes and integration of tool design and tool room capabilities into product development.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Marketing.

  • Optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and performance.

  • Implement industrial engineering principles to improve production efficiency, reduce cycle time, and enhance quality.

  • Mentor and develop a high-performing product development and industrial engineering team.

  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality norms.

  • Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of advanced design tools and technologies.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in GDC casting, tool room operations, NPD, and industrial engineering.

  • Proven track record in product design, prototyping, validation, and process optimization.

  • Hands-on knowledge of CAD, simulation software, and design for manufacturability.

  • Strong leadership, project management, and team-building skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Design Engineering or equivalent.

  • MBA / PGDM (preferred).

  • Experience in automotive or industrial component development is an advantage.
