Junior Engineer / Process Engineer

Location: Aurangabad

Company Overview

We are a reputed manufacturing company based in Aurangabad, specializing in precision machining and engineering solutions. We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Junior Engineer / Process Engineer to join our team and contribute to process optimization and new product development.


Role Summary

The Junior Engineer / Process Engineer will be responsible for supporting production processes related to CNC, VTC, and tooling, creating and interpreting technical drawings using AutoCAD and CAIA, and handling 3D modeling for manufacturing and process improvements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and optimizing machining processes for CNC & VTC machines.

  • Create, read, and interpret technical drawings using AutoCAD and CAIA tools.

  • Design 3D models and support tooling layout and jig/fixture design.

  • Evaluate and improve process flow to enhance production efficiency and reduce cycle time.

  • Assist in new product development (NPD) trials and validation.

  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.

  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process reports.

  • Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams for smooth operations.


Candidate Profile

Education:

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

Experience:

  • 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a machining/process engineering environment.

  • Experience with CNC (Turning/Milling), VTCs, and tool selection is a must.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, CAIA, and 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar)

  • Understanding of GD&T, machining tolerances, and process capability

  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Kaizen

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good communication and team coordination abilities
