Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Tool Design Engineer with hands-on experience in UG NX (Unigraphics) to design press tools, jigs, and fixtures for sheet metal components. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, validating, and optimizing tooling solutions to support production and new product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design press tools (progressive, compound, and forming tools) using UG NX software.

• Develop 3D models, detailed 2D drawings, and BOMs for tool components.

• Collaborate with production, quality, and machining teams for tool feasibility and improvements.

• Support tool trials, modifications, and validations during manufacturing ramp-up.

• Ensure adherence to design standards, tolerances, and cost-efficiency in tool design.

• Participate in APQP, PPAP, and new product development activities.

Candidate Requirements:

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or Tool Engineering.

• 5–10 years of experience in tool design for sheet metal components.

• Proficient in UG NX (Unigraphics); knowledge of AutoCAD and other CAD tools is a plus.

• Strong understanding of press tool manufacturing, GD&T, and DFM/DFA principles.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
